| Northern Broome Fast Training |
On Saturday afternoon, 10/04/2008, the Northern Broome Fast Team was able to acquire a structure in Conkin this past Saturday
for an intense training. Participating departments included Maine, Whitney Point, Choconut Center, and Harpursville Fire.
Several different scenarios were put into action to test both the teamwork and skill of the team. In each case, the evolution
began with a Mayday, then LUNAR called from a downed firefighter inside a smoke filled, 3 story ordinary conctruction home.
Immediately a team of 2 were sent in to conduct a search for the firefighter. Resources were deployed by command as needed by
the interior crew. By the end of each evolution, several teams had been sent into the structure and each had accomplished a
certain task in retreiving the victim. It was a very intense training that everyone was able to learn from. A special thanks
to Harpursville Fire for bringing their Truck and to Northern Broome Fast Team leader Blake Pomeroy for organizing the training.
