| Town Board Honors Two of MFD's Finest - 11/12/2008 |
At this month's Town of Maine board meeting, both Wes Tyler and Leo Welch were honored with a plaque for recognition of 50 plus years
of service each to the Maine Fire Department. Both Leo and Wes have served in many different positons and ranks throughout the years,
including Chairman of the board of fire commissioners, Assistant Chief, Captain, and Fire Police Captain. They are still currently
serving on the board of fire commissioners to date. Also in attendance was the Maine Fire Honor Guard, Chairman of the board John Richardson,
Chief Dave Silverstein, and Assistant Chief Lou Richardson. Special thanks to both Wes and Leo who have donated countless hours of hard work
and are an invaluable asset to the Maine Fire Department and who continue to set a true example of what it means to be a volunteer firefighter.
