Maine Fire Assists Glen Aubrey on Structure Fire - 12/27/2008

On Saturday, December 27th, Maine Fire responded to assist Glen Aubrey Fire with a fully involved structure fire on Rabbit Path Rd. As crews responded on Pumper Tanker 33-1 on Rescue 33-6, there were reports of possible occupancy in the structure. The first crew on the scene was Whitney Point Fire who quickly pulled a line and sent an interior crew in to make an initial search. As Glen Aubrey and Maine arrived on scene, crews worked to suppress the fire and continue the search. A short time later, the homeowners arrived on scene and relieved command with the news that the structure was vacant, other then a few pets. Other departments on the scene included Choconut Center Fire for the F.A.S.T. team and Maine Ambulance. Cause of the fire initiated from a wood stove. After several hours on the scene, overhaul and salvage were complete and crews were released. Red Cross arrived to assist the family with shelter.
