| Glen Aubrey Brush Fire |
At 1:30 P.M., Maine Fire was dispatched to assist Glen Aubrey Fire With Brush 33-7 for a brush fire extending
into the woods with heavy timber. Brush 33-7 and Chief 33 responded with a total manpower of 5 to the scene.
Once on the scene, Maine crews went to work gaining access to the outside of the fire through rugged terrain
and marshlands. Once ahead of the fire, we worked along the side of many other mutual aid companies to control
the spread of the fire. The fire was brought under control in about an hour. Crews then worked for the next 2
hours with chainsaws and water vests to cut down burning trees and put out hot spots.
